Portfolio Management

The Portfolio Management activity is an enriching and educational activity designed to increase both the technical skills of financial modelling and to increase the market awareness of members. The primary goal of this activity is to provide a practical experience in financial markets by engaging participants in the analysis, evaluation, and management of a virtual portfolio. 

1. Group Composition and Role Assignment

Participants are organized into groups, carefully structured to be homogeneous in terms of academic and processional background. This set-up is crucial to ensure that junior members benefit from valuable training experience, taking advantage of the knowledge and skills of more experienced participants while at the same time, older members are given the opportunity to take on mentoring roles.

2. Industry and Company Selection:

3. Analysis and Presentation:

After selection, each group undertakes an in-depth analysis of the chosen company, which will be presented in front of all members at a special meeting. This presentation forms the basis for discussions and feedback, influencing the composition of our virtual portfolio.

4. Continuous Learning and Relationships

After the initial analysis, groups are charged with creating periodic update reports on the portfolio positions they cover. These reports are critical for monitoring performance and taking on portfolio rebalancing.
